Just thought I’d share some of the ways in which Tristan mangles the English language on a daily basis. Watching him learn how to pronounce words sure is an entertaining process!
Napkwim = napkin
Lellow = yellow
Free = three
Elphenant = elephant (although he’s actually got this one straight now)
Kyupe = puke (learned that one courtesy of the cats)
Backwards = Backyardigans
Floot = fruit
There are of course others, but that’s all that come to mind for now. His are funny, but I’m very glad he doesn’t say the two listed below. The first one is what my friend’s nephew used to say, and the second is constantly used by a little girl in his daycare.
Dump truck = replace “p” with “b” and “t” with “f”…don’t ask me how the kid managed it, but yeah…
Kitty = replace “k” with “t”
Maybe you had to be there…
