Life Is Getting Interesting...

Now that Tristan is almost 4, some of his conversations with me become surprisingly involved. On the days that he isn't throwing a temper tantrum, whining, or crying during the car trip home, he is rather chatty. The little nuggets of information he tells me are often quite funny. Take this recent conversation on the trip home from swim class. We had to stop by my mom's house first but they weren't home and we didn't go in (necessary information to understand why the conversation came about).

T: Mommy, can we go to Grandma's house?
Me: No, Grandma and Grandpa aren't home.
T: Where are they?
Me: They went to a baseball game.
T: Can we go to the baseball game?
Me: No, we don't have tickets.
T: Can we get tickets?
Me: No, I don't have enough money.
T: Grandma has money, she'll buy me a ticket.
Me: Grandma doesn't have enough money to buy you a ticket either.
T: But, Grandma ALWAYS has money for me!

So there you have it folks. Aside from being very coherent and a smart little cookie (maybe too smart?!?), he is also rather spoiled by grandma. But hey, he wasn't screaming so I'm counting the conversation a success!
